Bromeliad Vriesea Red Chestnut
The Vriesea ‘Red Chestnut’ is a large, slow-growing, ornamental bromeliad valued for its striking, broad leaves that emerge glossy green with cream streaks, maturing to a rich, russet-red or chocolate-brown hue. It forms a robust rosette (up to 80cm) with a central water-holding tank, often used as a dramatic indoor, greenhouse, or shade-garden feature.
Care Requirements:
Light: Prefers bright, filtered light or partial shade. Direct, harsh sunlight can burn the foliage, while insufficient light may result in a greener, less vibrant color.
Watering: Keep the central cup (tank) filled with water, flushing it regularly to prevent stagnation. Water the potting medium only when it is dry.
Environment: Thrives in high humidity, making it excellent for tropical terrariums or warm, bright rooms.
