Ficus Shivereana “Moonshine Ficus” 月光橡皮树

Ficus Shivereana (often called “Moonshine Ficus”) is a striking, highly sought-after cultivar of the Ficus elastica (Rubber Tree). It is famous for its thick, leathery leaves covered in speckles and marbling of mint, cream, soft lime-green, and occasional peachy-pink tones.

Light: This variegated plant requires bright, indirect sunlight to maintain its signature lime, mint, and ivory marbling. Too little light will cause the leaves to revert to a darker green, while harsh, direct afternoon sun can scorch the foliage.

Soil Mix: Use a highly aerated, fast-draining mixture. A standard mix consists of 50-60% high-quality potting soil, 25-30% perlite or pumice for drainage, and 20-25% chunky orchid bark or pine bark fines.

Watering: Water thoroughly with room-temperature water until it drains from the bottom, then allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out entirely before watering again. Overwatering is the #1 cause of decline for this plant, so ensure your pot has adequate drainage holes.
