Burle Marx philodendron is a low-growing shrub or vine that has shiny bright green heart-shaped leaves and reddish stems. It grows in clumps about two feet tall and two to three feet wide and prefers partial sun and moderate soil moisture.

 

Burle Marx doesn’t like much watering, so beware of overwatering and its dangers. Still, the soil should be constantly moist in the growing period (spring and summer). During the cold months, however, you should let the upper soil layers get completely dry before watering your plant again.
