Ionantha is one of the most attractive and popular of the Tillandsia family due to it’s structure, ease of care, and bright colour when in bloom. This plant has narrow, tubular flowers which rise from the foliage and are a deep purple in colour.

Ionantha plants do not need soaking as they are quite sensitive to excess water. You simply have to mist them frequently. Spray the plants twice a week. You can increase the frequency if the weather is hot and dry.
